Daily Kitchen Note
A slipping cutting board is dangerous and makes prep work difficult. Placing a damp towel underneath stabilizes the board for safer, more efficient chopping.

How to Stabilize cutting board
- Wet a clean kitchen towel or paper towel with water and wring it out so it is damp but not dripping.
- Lay the damp towel completely flat on your kitchen counter.
- Place your cutting board directly on top of the damp towel, pressing down slightly to ensure it is secure and does not slide.
Why it works
The moisture in the damp towel creates friction between the smooth countertop and the cutting board. This added grip acts as an anchor, keeping the board firmly in place while you chop.
