Thyme Salted Roast Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken (about 4 lbs)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)
  • Thyme Sea Salt for seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare Chicken: Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Rub it all over with olive oil, ensuring even coverage. Sprinkle generously with chopped thyme and Thyme Sea Salt, making sure to season both inside and out.
  3. Roast: Place the chicken on a roasting rack or in a roasting pan. Roast in the preheated oven for about 1.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) in the thickest part of the chicken. The skin should be golden and crispy.
  4. Rest and Carve: Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
  5. Serve: Garnish with additional fresh thyme and a light sprinkle of Thyme Sea Salt for an extra burst of flavor.
